A Note from Big Daddy:
I have loved singing for as long as I can remember. At six years old, I sang in the school
and church choirs. Musicals were soon to follow. I had found my passion early.
I cut my first record with Checkmate Records after being discovered performing in local talent
shows. The record company flew me to Nashville. I was only nineteen.
My musical theatre background includes Gilbert & Sullivan’s Sleeping Beauty, La Cage Aux Folles
and too many performances to mention.
When someone asked me who influenced me in my career, I had too many to list. They say I am a
great Vegas-style crooner and that would make sense, since I still love the works of 'Ole Blue Eyes'
and 'The King'. Along with these favourite staples, I love to sing Country (new & old), blues and
classic ballads. And I still love the smell of the grease paint and the magic of musical theatre.
I have performed in several venues in the Lower Mainland in Beautiful British Columbia, to parties
of fifty to two hundred. I enjoy all the gigs - intimate or big. It's music and a party just isn't
a party without it.
I sing to make others smile. When I look out into the crowd and see people smiling at an old classic,
children laughing or someone dancing to timeless tracks ... it's all worth it....just for the
smile, the dance, the laugh.
